Matador Records, 2017
Chavez is back after a thousand fucking years and they have delivered the sound of 1995.
I had the chance to see Chavez back in 2012 at the P4K Fest and it was one of my favourite sets of the weekend. The new 3 songs are a breath o fresh air on the indie rock front. This is the lovechild of Slint, Mission of Burma and the Archers of Loaf. It’s been 20 years since they released new songs and now I’m just hoping that I’ll live long enough to listen a complete new album.
